MetLife for The Green Chair Project

The Green Chair Project provides essential furnishings for families transitioning from homelessness, crisis or disaster. Families are referred to The Green Chair Project from over 90+ agencies in Wake County and given the choice of selecting their furnishings from curated vignettes. In addition to furnishings, every child receives a new mattress, bed frame, pillow, & bedding of their own. Over 6,000 children in Wake County do not have a bed of their own and sleep with family members, on the floor or on furniture other than a bed. Our goal in 2023 is to provide 1440 children with a bed or crib of their own. Items you purchase on our wishlist, along with their new bed go directly to the children we are serving.
